Step 1
Using the text tool, type a message for your button in your work area.
Step 2
Select the text you just typed and go to the Insert menu and select "Convert
to Symbol..." or hit (F8).

Then name the symbol, check the box next to "Button" and click "OK" as shown in this screen shot:

| Now right click on your button and select edit: | Then make a keyframe(F6) in each of the "Up, Over, Down and Hit" frames. |

Step 4
Click in the Over frame and change the look of your button by double
clicking on it with the pointer tool. This is what it will look like when your
mouse is over your button. I made the text red and a little bigger in the
example below:

Change the looks for the Down frame as well. This is what the button will look like when you click on it.
Step 5
In the Hit frame, draw a box over the whole button. This will be the
area that will react to the mouse later. You will not see this box in your button.
Click on "Scene 1" when you are finished to go back to your
work area.

| Right click on the button that you were working on and select "Properties..." | Then click on the "Actions" tab and select "Get URL". |

Step 7
Type in the address, in the right window, to where you want the button to go
when clicked. Remember to include http://
if it is going to an outside link.

That's it! Hit "OK" and then push F12 to test out your button in Netscape.
